200. The Villa

What to do with an orange home that has faux finishes like styrofoam ceiling beams and plastic wood for trim? The renovation of 200 gave us a chance to find out. We were lucky to work with Clients who had a clear vision of how they wanted to live in the house: primary on main and one floor living so they could age in place. That meant using the existing upstairs bedrooms as guest rooms, and updating the main floor footprint to create large and connected entertaining spaces with seamless transitions from interior to exterior. Moreover, when the client is a gifted artist with impeccable taste, that makes the journey all the more rewarding.

We added added iron doors across the existing porch and replaced the kitchen windows to bring in much needed natural light. We removed walls, updated flooring, reset the kitchen and primary ensuite footprint and added custom cabinetry throughout… and wow- the results are incredible.
